Dear Ladies,
Today, two days before Mother's Day, I received my official BFN for my first IVF. As I am sitting here in my own personal pain, I can feel my sisters around me who have all felt the "punch in the stomach" feeling of another negative pregnancy test. I am so thankful to have found a group of women and men who rally around to support me even through their own hopes and fears. We are lucky and blessed to have each other.
Today, more than ever before, I want to take a stand for you and your infertility journey. I will forever be an advocate for infertile families and will do what I can to support our community. The other day I signed up to go to the Capitol in Georgia and speak to a representative here in my home state. If I did not just return from a month long, 14 state IVF adventure in New York on May 1st, I would have been there on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. on Advocacy Day to support there as well (I plan to do this next year, for sure). I am grateful to all of those who did make it.
Next Saturday, May 14th is the Atlanta Walk of Hope. I am lucky that it is right in my own back yard and my husband and I will both be walking there along with some dear friends. Our team is called the "Ladies in Waiting" in honor of our book club. My husband and I will be volunteering there as well as walking.
May we walk for you?
My team and I would like to collect names from you (first, or last, or even just your screen name - doesn't matter to us!). On the day of the Walk, we'll take this list of names and write them on our t-shirts before the walk begins. We'd love to represent you along with our own families of two, no matter where you are on your journey. We hope to have our t-shirts completely covered in the names of the many infertile families we wish to represent.
If you'd like your name added, just respond in the comments below with the name you would like us to use. And on May 14th, we'll walk for you too.

This list is also on Inspire and Facebook. You only need to sign up in one spot... we'll check and double check and make sure we have you! Please add yourself before the evening of Friday, May 13th so we'll have your name in time for the early morning walk on Saturday.
If you wish to make a donation, you can do that here at our Ladies in Waiting Team Page. Please know that while donations are appreciated, they are not expected.
Love and Blessings,
Kim
