Welcome to the February selection for the Ladies in Waiting Book Club! Have you started Major Pettigrew's Last Stand? If not, start reading! Everyone can answer this question without the knowledge of the book. We are going to post discussion questions on Tuesdays for Major Pettigrew's Last Stand. In this month of love, we also have lots of love planned all around from poems to crafts to recipes. We hope you enjoy.
Mrs. Ali comments about the breaking of family tradition in her husband leaving their shop to her. She also comments that “Anglo-Saxons have largely broken away from dependence on family. Each generation feels perfectly free to act alone and you are not afraid.” In many ways we could substitute American for Anglo-Saxon. Have you broken from family tradition in your life? Did you feel free to do so? Was fear a factor?
